Terms & conditions
These terms apply to work carried out by Tilermate Interiors Ltd. Your written quote sets out the specific scope of your project.
Quotes
Quotes are free and provided in writing after a visit. Work not included in the quote, or changes you request, will be agreed with you before it is carried out.
Payments
- 30% deposit to book the job.
- 35% when the job is half done.
- The final 35% on completion.
Working hours
We work Mon–Sat, 7am–6pm. We do not provide emergency call-outs.
Insurance
Tilermate Interiors Ltd holds public liability insurance of up to £5 million.
2-year bathroom workmanship warranty
Bathroom installation works carried out by Tilermate Interiors Ltd are covered by a 2-year workmanship warranty, starting from the date the completed works are handed over to you. The warranty applies to bathroom installations only.
What is covered
Where a defect is directly caused by our workmanship, we will inspect and fix it at no extra cost. This includes:
- Leaks resulting from the installation work
- Failure of waterproofing or tanking systems installed by us
- Loose or debonded tiles caused by installation workmanship
- Cracked or damaged tiles where the damage is directly attributable to installation workmanship
- Grout or silicone failures directly attributable to defective workmanship
What is not covered
- Accidental damage, impact or misuse
- Normal wear and tear
- Movement or structural defects of the building
- Movement, settlement or cracking of the substrate not caused by our workmanship
- Defects in products or materials supplied by the customer
- Alterations, repairs or work by another contractor after completion
- Failure to follow manufacturer maintenance or care instructions
- Damage caused by plumbing or building works outside the scope of our work
Making a claim
Contact us as soon as reasonably possible after finding a suspected defect, with details and photographs where appropriate, at tilermateuk@gmail.com or 07468 280520. We may inspect the affected area before deciding whether it is covered. If a workmanship defect is confirmed, we will arrange the remedial work at no extra cost.
Your statutory rights
This warranty is in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
Pre-sale property uplift
We do not guarantee that any improvements will increase the sale price or speed of sale of a property.
